Partition Walls

What are partition walls?

A partition wall is a wall that separates a room, or divides a room. (Usually these walls are not load bearing) Partitions are developed with brick, blocks from clay, concrete or hollow. Partitioning is the process in which these walls are applied.

Partitions can also be constructed from glass. Glass partitions are a range of individual hardened glass panels that are suspended from or adjacent to an aluminum ceiling track. This partition system does not require the use of a floor guide that allows for easy operation and an uninterrupted threshold.

Wall partitions are made using beads and tracking that either hang from the ceiling or are fixed to the ground. The panels are inserted into the tracking and then fixed. There are many different types of partitions walls some include extra fire protection than normal partitions.
